About Us
A fan community, run by players
Nintendostreetteam began as a group chat among friends who met at handheld meetups — people who carried their consoles everywhere and noticed that Nintendo's games and street culture kept overlapping: streetwear inspired by game worlds, pop-up gaming events, and guides written by players who actually ride the subway with a console in their pocket. The website grew out of that group, and the meetups grew out of the website. We remain an independent fan community, unaffiliated with Nintendo itself.
What you'll find
- Game guides written after completion, covering routes, builds, and collectible hunts — tested by us, not transcribed from other sites.
- Handheld meetups in city parks and arcades: casual tournaments, trade sessions, and photo walks, announced with dates and house rules up front.
- Streetwear features: interviews with independent designers, coverage of drops inspired by gaming culture, and honest notes on comfort and print quality.
How the community works
Guides and event reports are written by volunteer contributors and reviewed by at least one other member before publication. Event listings state the venue, the start time, and whether all ages are welcome. We keep the tone friendly and the rules short: no scalping, no harassment, no selling counterfeits — contributors who break the rules are removed.
A note on independence
We buy our own consoles, pay for our own events, and choose our own topics. When Nintendo announces something, we cover it as fans and chroniclers of the scene, not as representatives of the company. Nintendostreetteam exists because playing together in public is half the fun — a fan community for Nintendo games and the street culture around them.
